Since this is our December issue, I'd like to take a moment to wish all of our subscribers a happy holiday season and a prosperous 2013 with many great hunts in the offing.
The show season kicks off right after New Year's, and we hope to see many of you at "Journeys," the
Dallas Safari Club Convention, which runs January 3-6, 2013 at the Dallas Convention Center. Dallas Safari Club is, of course, one of our corporate affiliates, and we are proud to be a part of their convention. Please stop by booth A23 and see me. I'd love to talk with you, and see if we can meet your informational needs better in any way. Edi Bell-Suffoleto, our marketing and sales manager, and the voice you hear most often when you call our offices, will also be there so you can chat in person.
While we won't be exhibiting at
SCI in Reno, I will be there, conducting interviews with wildlife officials from foreign governments and outfitters and PHs from around the world, and chasing down new opportunities and news developments for you. Any
Hunting Report subscriber is free to reach me at the show at 305-519-7548, and I will do my best to catch up with you.
Also, if you won't be able to make one of the big shows, do consider one of the regional events organized by our friends at
The African Hunting Gazette in Atlanta, Georgia, and Calgary, Alberta. We are mutual sponsors with the African Hunting Expo and think hunters with limited time, but who want to meet with quality African operators, will enjoy these smaller events. All exhibitors are carefully checked out by the organizers, and as a sponsor of the shows,
The Hunting Report will provide free reports (by email or fax) on any exhibitor at the African Hunting Expo. You can get more details on the African Hunting Expo on page 20 of this issue and on their website at
http://www.africanhuntingshow.com/. Hope to see you there!
