I must pass on some sad news from
Namibia that came to me just as we were going to press with this issue. Safari operator and conservationist Jan Harm Oelofse has passed away. Oelofse, with his family, operated the
Mount Etjo Safari Lodge and Okonjati Game Reserve. I did not have any details on his death as I wrote this, except that he died on October 15, 2011 and his family was closing the operation on a temporary basis to honor his memory.....
