Now here's something a bit out of the ordinary. Long-time subscriber Neil Summers, who runs the booking agency
Bowhunting Safari Consultants (800-833-9777), tells us he's found a bowhunting-only opportunity for trophy quality Javan and Moluccan Rusa deer in Queensland,
Australia on the shore of the Coral Sea. He hunted there this past June with Greg Coyne, an archery-only guide and a new name to us.
Summers says he took two deer on his hunt, one of each species. He doesn't give measurements on his trophies but tells us that both will score in the Top 10 of the Archery Category of the SCI Record Book. The
Javan variety was free-range, while the
Moluccan was on an estate.....
