Continuing subscribers will remember our reports on hunting a wild goat in
Spain called the Balearean boc. (See articles

1918.) This species is unique to the island of Mallorca in the Balearic Archipelago, a cluster of islands in the Mediterranean Sea east of Valencia, Spain. It was added to various record book programs about five years ago, sparking interest among some traveling hunters. Then, a controversy over the number of full bred boc and the number of hybrids (crossings with domestic goats) lead to restrictions by local wildlife authorities. All of that has since been cleared up and traveling hunters are again visiting Mallorca to collect this Capra species. The latest is
