We have word this month of a timely new opportunity for free-range axis deer in New South Wales,
Australia. Subscriber Anthony Campbell (report
8481) tells us he hunted in the spring (November 22-30, 2011), but that June and July would probably appeal more to most hunters because the weather is cooler. "Be prepared for heat if you are hunting in the summer," he tells us. Campbell's hunt was on a large working cattle ranch. The outfitter is Andrew Smith Trophy Hunting (
