Email Extra Bulletin, you'll want to know that the Sonoma County Farm Bureau is auctioning off a tule elk tag and hunt at their "Crab & Wine Fest" on February 4th, 2012 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds Grace Pavilion in Santa Rosa, California.
According to the auction literature, this auction item includes far more than the tag. First of all, the hunt will take place in August, 2012 on the 3,000-acre R&R Ranch in Potter Valley. It will be a fully-guided hunt by the ranch manager. We have been told that this will not be a physically challenging hunt, and there are likely to be a number of trophy animals available to choose among. Also included in the package is a discount on taxidermy services from Forrest Farnsworth of Big Game Taxidermy in Sebastopol, California.....
