A possible new world record Pope & Young mountain goat has been taken in northwestern British Columbia. The goat scored 54 2/8 inches, which beats out the current Number One of 53 inches. The lucky hunter who bagged this exceptional trophy is Tim Metcalfe, who was hunting with Golden Bear Outfitting (
www.goldenbearoutfitting.com) in the Telegraph Creek – Stikine River area. A second hunter named Bob Schermer also took a trophy goat on this same hunt with a score of 53 6/8. What’s even more remarkable about two Pope & Young trophies being taken back-to-back is that this season was outfitter Greg Williams’ very first in this concession.....
