). We have followed the development of this hunting opportunity since Morio, owner Bruno Roebroeck and concession holder Jean-Luc Damy opened hunting in Tala Tala in 2016 (see articles 3930
In his report, Clark writes, "After an unsuccessful bongo hunt in the east of CAR, I decided to book a hunt with Morio. I have hunted with him before, and he is a hardworking and fun PH. Morio and Jean-Luc Damy have put a lot of work into the concession, and they took several great bongo this year as well as two big sitatunga. Mine would be the last safari of the season, in late Oct. Getting to camp from Ouesso after a flight from Brazzaville was easy.
"We drove the roads looking for tracks and then followed with the trackers and their dogs. On the first day the dogs quickly picked up the track of a big dwarf forest buffalo. Unfortunately the bull met with a small herd, and the dogs ended up bringing a calf to bay instead. Still, it was a heart-pounding experience. The rest of the day we called duiker, and I also had the great experience of seeing a lowland gorilla....
