, N. Porter says they hunted for both Carmen Mountain and texanus whitetails just after Christmas. "Hunting deer in Mexico is the perfect getaway from Michigan winters," he says.
He reports the hunting was all by high rack and that they went out twice each day, morning and evening, with time for a siesta between. "We saw deer each time out, about 125 deer in total during our five-day hunt. We think this is an above-average number, considering the fact that we were hunting in a harsh desert environment that can support only a limited quantity of deer....
