) had left the Central African Republic, where he was forced to cancel his 2014 safari season due to sectarian violence in that country. He moved next door to Cameroon
, where he is operating in areas controlled by Club Faune. Subscriber Peter Treboldi called me in March to report that he was one of Lubin's first clients there. He hunted a concession in northern Cameroon for Lord Derby eland and reports seeing hundreds of animals. "I had heard that eland in CAR are better than in Cameroon," Treboldi says, "but I don't think that is true. I took a 50-incher in Cameroon and believe there are bigger ones......
