Simon Mduma, Ph.D. As we reported in our January issue, the Selous Game Reserve is down to 13,000 elephant and conservationists fear a similar decline in other areas.
Mduma says four censes were conducted last year. The northern population - Kilimanjaro, Amboseli, Mkomazi - is "OK." These are areas along the Tanzanian/Kenyan corridor, where there is a lot of traffic from general tourism......
