I shared with you what Erik Mararv of Central African Wildlife Adventures
) said about continuing to operate in the Central African Republic during all the civil strife occurring there. I've now heard from subscriber Brook Minx, who hunted with Marav the first two weeks of this past January.
Minx says Mararv has things figured out and can get clients to the bush only a few hours after arriving at the airport and without going into town. Minx says he was originally booked on Air France and that his flight from Paris was delayed several hours before being canceled. The reason was that the refugees camped along the edges of the runway had decided to stage a demonstration to gain international attention and relief aid, which made it impossible to safely land an aircraft that day.
