Charlotte Peyerk's Koryak snow sheep may be the new World Record.

If you saw the photo of subscriber Charlotte Peyerk's giant snow sheep in last month's Trophy Gallery, you are probably hungry for details. In Report 9320 she describes her August hunt in the Koryak Region of Russia. Peyerk and her husband Daniel booked their hunt with Safari Outfitters (307-587-5596; http://www.safari1.com/) and were accompanied by Sergei Kondratov, who met them upon arrival in Russia and acted as interpreter. "With Sergei in charge, everything was seamless. My guide Anatole spoke enough English that I didn't have any problem in the field," says Peyerk. There were four hunters in the party, Peyerk and her husband, Safari Outfitters' owner Deron Millman, and Brian Hauck.
We spoke by phone with Peyerk, who told us they flew from Anchorage to Petropavlovsk on the once-a-week Yakutia Air service (see Article 2929 from July, 2012). From Petro they flew domestic to Tilichiki where they spent three days in a hotel waiting for the weather to clear.....
