Last month we told you about emerging signs of trouble with the desert sheep hunting on offer through the Seri Indians in Mexico
. Now subscriber Rodrigo Lebrija says he lost a deposit of $40,000 for a hunt on Seri lands with outfitter Hector Pavlovich of Trophies Only Adventures. In his letter to The Hunting Report (9235)
, Lebrija says that the hunt was supposed to take place in January 2012 on Tiburon Island. But in December 2011 Pavlovich asked him to postpone the hunt to March or even November 2012 because he hadn't received the tag yet.
"I started making calls and soon learned that Pavlovich had a 'deal' with the Seri Indians that gave him two permits each year for him to sell on his own," says Lebrija.....
