Subscriber Scott Bagi bowhunted for Javan rusa deer in Australia
at the end of June this year with Ian and Kathy Jaques of Australian Hunting Consultants
). In a somewhat-sparse original report, Bagi says, "This is my second hunt with Ian and Kathy, and they operate the most professional camp that I have ever been in. Tons of game and great food. I was bowhunting and had plenty of opportunities but was unable to connect due to my own mistakes. I stalked to within 19 yards of a top 10 rusa deer with my bow, only to be winded. The hunter before me took what will be the new number one rusa deer in the Australian record book! I saw four or five deer that would score in the top 10 and two that would certainly be the new number one and two. This camp operates in the best rusa deer spot in the world. Every day we saw lots of game and deer that were unbelievable in size. Lots of opportunities!"
