In last month's issue
, we updated you on the situation with that man-eating leopard in Nepal. At that point, Deepak Rana of Tracks 'n Trails told us that, despite the fact that the officially "dead" leopard had killed again, talks with the local authorities on getting in foreign hunters to take care of the problem were going nowhere.
Well, we've heard from Rana again this month, first to tell us that, because of ongoing hacking problems he has new email addresses. He asks that you use either firstname.lastname@example.org
for future communications.
As to the leopard situation, Rana had this to say: "Don't count me out of the maneating leopards adventure in West Nepal as yet. Take it from me, though it is sad. You are going to hear from them again after the rice harvest in October/November and when winter sets in around December/January. I am still working at bureaucratic arm wrestling and cutting the red tape here in Kathmandu......
