Subscriber Dave Westrum has turned in a mixed report (9163
) on a combo bobcat and feral hog hunt in California with Central Coast Outfitters, operated by Alfred Luis. The hunt occurred in January of this year. The crux of Westrum's complaint is the lack of trophy-quality hogs available on the property.
In part, Westrum's report sounds like a rave review. "Bobcats were extremely abundant," he writes, "One day we saw eight different bobcats." He describes the trophy quality of the bobcats he took as good and very good. Among the highlights of the hunt, he lists: "Cojo Jalama Ranch!!!! (his emphasis) The ranch is overlooking the Pacific and is magnificent. We actually saw whales from the ranch while hunting. It is truly an amazing place......
