Following our update on Kri-Kri ibex opportunities in Greece and Macedonia in our January issue (see page 10) subscriber Norbert Ullmann, sub-chair with the SCI record book committee, wrote to share two other possibilities we missed for this species in
Croatia and the
Czech Republic.
In the Czech Republic, Ullmann suggested we contact Ivan Bezák, the owner of
Tatralov (phone from the US: 011-421-255-423250; mobile: 011-421-904-652-273). Here's how Bezák described his hunts to us in an email response to our inquiry: "We do offer Kri-Kri hunts in Central Europe. Our clients shoot two to four Kri-Kri every year. How many animals can be taken depends on the yearly counts by the game reserves. Pricing depends on size and age of the animal and is quoted when available, based on a waiting list we have for these animals. Usually our clients also hunt, at the same time as the Kri-Kri, some of the 20 other big game species we offer.....
